  The GB has often pointed out how the actions of a few can cause a witness to many ie: the Children in india in the 90's who refused to sing the national anthem resulting in an article in the national newspaper about JW's. This seemed good enough for them that the "Kingdom was being preached to the inhabited earth." This event fulfilled the prophecy for the billions in Inda, well done kids!

  The same newspaper also observed: “These children refused to sing the National Anthem because Jehovah’s Witnesses consider themselves to be Christians and devoted entirely to the Kingdom of God. . . . They therefore do not participate in any of the political activity of the State.” Also, The Telegraph of Calcutta reported: “The schoolchildren’s action has also brought into the limelight . . . Jehovah’s Witnesses, which had remained largely obscure in our country till recently.” Yes, ‘this good news of the kingdom will be preached for a witness to all the nations’ before the end comes.

  Nevermind that the literacy rate in India was barely 38% at the time. Morons.

  Terminology the Society Hates?

  in my most recent talk, i got counseled for using some terms that were not prefered.

  for example i said "new testament" rather than "the christian greek scriptures".

  i also used the term "gospel", but even worse, i made reference to the "synoptic gospels" and the "gnostic gospel".. i guess i never thought of it before, but when i looked at the societies information on the matter they always say things like, "the so-called new testament..." or "the so-called synoptic gospels..." why with all the "so-called?".

  Seldom have I heard of people dating referred to as boyfriend and girlfriend. Its always, "they are dating so and so". Boyfriend/Girlfriend sounds like fornication happening right in front of them!

  I think that many mates come to a realization of the sham of WT teaching because someone they love and respect has taken a stand. Their love for this other person is tangible and not a mind game. His love for you has made him receptive, he's been thinking for awhile now about who you have become, however subtle.

  Dont know your story so I am sticking my neck out here. Keep up being honest and tactful. Lead the way by showing the love he seeks from you and Jesus. Oh God, I didn't mean to promote Jesus, sorry.

  I'm with Magnum, I was shocked at some of the people appointed, not in comparison to me, in comparison to the "biblical"qualifications. Disgusting. It helped me to see the fact that the H. Spirit wasn't involved. If it was then God was an idiot.

  I had a manuscript talk on the District Convention (as it was called then) and six months later was the reader of the WT that was basically that manuscript talk as a study article. I didn't even have to read it I had it down pat. What a joke.

  The guy is a buffoon. It is a glorified youtube video. I can't imagine any young witness giving this thing more than a compulsory view. Notice they said, "Trial basis?" I believe it will be a liability. I could be wrong but I think that from this first video. It's not really a TV station, its a set.

  this will strengthen the opposition and give something to refer too that is concrete evidence of crazy town in the jw headquarters.

  there will be screen captures and clips that will be used all the time on youtube accounts to show the ttatt.

I thought, "if my faith isn't able to stand alone what good is it? We are born alone, we die alone so why not be able to be faithful alone?" There are stories of people who missed meetings and died while doing something else. What the hell was that about? Tell me, is it true that if you miss meetings you will "fall away"? Worked for me! Helps to stop the drums beating in my ears to do more! Be more! Give more! Screw em.

  What does the building of Warwick HQ have to do with the Society's expectation of the end?

  this topic is a couple years late, but i just wanted to get this off my chest.

  i don't understand why people say that the society starting a project that won't finish until 2017 means that the end can't come until then, or that they don't expect the end before then.

  this isn't a very logical line of thought.
